A Trauma-Informed Memoir Told Through EMDR Therapy
Welcome.
You’ve stepped into a trauma-informed space — one I built for survivors, seekers, and anyone carrying what was never theirs to hold.
Out of Fight or Flight isn’t just my book. It’s a mirror for those living with the invisible weight of trauma. It’s my story of survival — and what it truly takes to heal.
Every page was shaped by my experience in EMDR therapy, the method that helped me process buried pain, dissociation, and childhood violence.
This website extends that healing. Here, you’ll find insights on EMDR, tools to regulate the nervous system, and a glimpse of trauma recovery from the inside out.
If you’re a survivor searching for language around your story...
If you’re a counselor or therapist wanting to hear EMDR through the client’s eyes...
If you’re simply trying to make sense of trauma’s impact...
You’re not alone here. You’re welcome here.
This space is rooted in healing, education, and hope — carried with the same care that helped me begin again.
I am a trauma survivor, filmmaker, coach, and writer whose work lives at the intersection of art, healing, and transformation.
After surviving childhood abuse and years of carrying invisible wounds, I found my way into EMDR therapy — the work that changed my life. Out of Fight or Flight is my story of what happened next.
Today, I speak, create, and walk alongside others on the long road of recovery, offering hope where silence once lived.
“What Is EMDR Therapy?”
A powerful, research-backed therapy for trauma, PTSD, and nervous system healing.
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.
It’s a therapy designed to help people heal from traumatic memories by activating the brain’s natural processing system. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation—like eye movements or tapping—to help “unstick” painful experiences trapped in the body and nervous system.
It’s used worldwide to treat PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, dissociation, and more.
🌀 You don’t have to tell every detail.
🌀 You don’t have to relive the pain.
🌀 EMDR helps you reprocess what happened — so it no longer controls your life.

Touched by This? Tell Me
I’m a trauma-informed survivor and storyteller—not a therapist.
If my story or work touched you, I’d love to hear yours—whether it’s a moment of healing, inspiration, or simply what moved you.
No need for perfect words. Just say, “This mattered.”
Let’s connect.
